30+ Braid Style For An Authentic Individuality

by Ruby

Maybe a simple reason why we like to take care of our hair, clothes, or skin so much is that we know these are the different aspects that represent our personality. There is nothing wrong with trying to give people a sense of your authenticity. However, many usually like to single out one or two outstanding features of their body and highlight them instead. To some, it could be their taste in fashion; to others, it is the uniqueness of distinct braids that matters.

There are numerous types of braids that you can choose from, from the classic 3-strand braid to the more sophisticated multiple braids. Depending on your hair texture, you may need to consider a suitable style before opting for one specific style.

Countless Braiding Styles Start With Basic Techniques

Braiding is not rare anymore, it is ubiquitous, but it always appears in different shapes and sizes. Astonishingly, each of them still complements the complexion of individuals very well. Nowadays, when strolling along the street, you can see beautiful women rocking their braids confidently under any circumstance. However, all of these intricate designs incorporate a variety of simpler braiding techniques that you may need to know.

Classic 3-Strand Braid

The familiar conventional braid is now still being integrated by many top-class hair stylists. It is achieved by sectioning the desired amount of hair into three sections. Then you alternate one section over the other until you have reached the end of the hair.

French/Dutch Braids

It is just like a classic braid, however, except that you begin at the scalp rather than at the base of the head. This technique is a little trickier since it requires you to add hair to each section as you braid down/across the head. French braids alternate the layered strands over one another, while the Dutch braid technique alternates them under each other.

Fishtail Braid

This technique starts with the desired amount of hair divided into 2 sections. A very small piece is taken from underneath one of the two sections and is pulled across the center to the opposing section.

Plait Braids

This type follows the principle of a 3-strand braid. However, the number of strands is added. You may find this technique a little complicated, but “practice makes perfect”.

Besides these simple braiding types, there are also plenty of alternative techniques that you can take a glimpse of, such as rope braid, lace braid, ladder braid, lattice braid, and so on. After you have settled down with one specific braiding technique, it is time to select one gorgeous style that will bring out your personality and rock your everyday life.
